Important Notice
The following notice applies to members of the public wishing to represent themselves, and who wish to use Dawson Documents as their legal document preparer.
Dawson Legal Documents and Services are not attorneys and do not work for an attorney. We are an Arizona Supreme Court Certified Legal Document Preparation (AZCLDP) company. Our conduct is governed by court rules and the Board of Legal Document Preparers. More information concerning the program can be found here.
Please read the following carefully so that you fully understand what we can and can not offer our clients.
Authorized Services
- Prepare or provide legal documents, without the supervision of an attorney, for an entity or a member of the public in any legal matter when that entity or person is not represented by an attorney;
- Provide general legal information, but may not provide any kind of specific advice, opinion, or recommendation to a consumer about possible legal rights, remedies, defenses, options, or strategies;
- Provide general factual information pertaining to legal rights, procedures, or options available to a person in a legal matter when that person is not represented by an attorney;
- Make legal forms and documents available to a person who is not represented by an attorney; and
- File and arrange for service of legal forms and documents for a person in a legal matter when that person is not represented by an attorney.
Restricted Activities
Since we are not attorneys, there are some restrictions on what we can offer our clients:
- We can not offer legal advice, opinion, or recommendation regarding your possible legal rights, remedies, defenses, options, or strategies. This does not preclude us from offering the type of general factual information outlined above.
- Communications with us are confidential but not privileged. There is no attorney-client privilege.
- We can not help clients who are already represented by an attorney.
